Growing up in the Yarra Valley Nick D’Aloisio has realised his dream of releasing wines under his Oscuro Wines label. Working in the wine industry from a very young age, Nick has been involved in many areas of the wine industry, culminating in the creation of Oscuro Wines in 2015.

With small parcels of Shiraz fruit purchased from the Yarraland Vineyard in 2012 sparking the beginning of this new venture, the 2012 Oscuro ‘il principe’ Syrah, under the guidance of Sergio Carlei, was bottled and released in late 2015.

The Oscuro Wines label has a focus on single vineyard, hand-picked fruit and utilises minimal intervention winemaking techniques to highlight the true expressions of the varietal style and terroir.
